::)Hi there, I have been a professional photographer for a few weeks now and i mainly do Portraits at the moment, i am also assisting a wedding photographer until next year, when i intend to start doing weddings as well. I reside in the UK. I have been gathering inforamtion about several photographic associations, since i intend to join one. I have now 3 contenders which are: Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP), The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Master Photographers Association (MPA). Cost wise as i am sure some of you know the SWPP is the cheapest at £99 per year followed by the BIPP and the MPA at around £165 per year. Does anyone belong to any of this associations, any advice i could receive on what constitutes a good association and your experiences would be apreciated since i see not a lot of difference between them. The MPA seems to be well received and respected by all people concerned but what about the other ones? Please do let me know of your opinions regarding the type of work i do and also the benefits of belonged to one of the three associations mentioned above. Thank you.
