I currently own a D1X and a D1H. I use the X most of the time for news assignments and my home studio where I shoot portraits. The H I'll use for sports where I need the speed and shots where I need a hi ISO (the D1H has less noise then the D1X). I looking to upgrade to either the D200 or the D2X. Can anyone give me pros or con on the 2 cameras? I like the weight of the 200. I know after a while the D1's get heavy. The 2 things I would like to know is how the 2 differ in noise and shooting speed. I mainly shoot raw and even with the buffer upgrade and fast cards in my D1X I sometimes miss shots waiting for the files to save. With the bigger files in the newer cameras I can see the same thing happening. I'm leaning toward the D200 because of the size. If anyone upgraded from the D1X/H to a 200 let me know what you think

I have a D200, and would be glad to take some test shots for you in raw. Give me an ISO you would like to try and I will shoot it and send it to you. So you can get an idea of what the D200 image quality is like. I personally like my D200, but don't had a D2x to compare it to. Its getting dark now, so a high ISO would be good timing.
Let me know.

Personally, I like heavy cameras, although the D200 is no lightweight. If I could have afforded it, I would have gone with the D2X over the D200 in a heartbeat just for the quality of construction and longevity of the camera.
