Hi I am from Southern Indiana and work for a Amateur radio dealer.
Just this past Sat I bought my first DSLR (well first I plan on keeping) D-50.
Very very new to all this have a coworker that has a D70 and a good local customer that also has D-70 so hope to learn alot from them.

Welcome and we will be glad to answer questions and help you too.
I have had my D50 since January 27. You should love it. I have a D80 on order, mainly went with that vs. D200 because of the huge collection of SD cards that I have.

Hi, nice to see you here.
I have a D200 (moved up from a Pentax DSLR - now with my wife) and am having a lot of fun. A work colleague caught the photography bug off of me and invested in a D50 a few months ago and he has become very very keen and is always showing me his latest efforts.
(Your post title threw me at first as you said Southern Indiana - no country reference - and the post directly above was from "southern part of India." Nice global feel to this forum already.)
