I took an interest in photography a few years ago. I was always having trouble trying to explain things to people, so I decided to let the camera do the talking. A picture truly is worth a thousand words. My occupation is flight simulation technician. Below is a photo of the interior of one of these machines. My hobbies are hang gliding, electronics, photography, etc. I love designing, building and inventing things in my garage. The latest project is a hovercraft from sevtec plans. I'm glad to see so many people on this website from all over the world. It should make for a real interesting forum. Photography is a universal language. Let the pictures do the talking.

Well hello from Acadia, South Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
That is a really cool job, and a very cool picture. I agree I think this forum could turn into something really good, a place for us to share ideas and get answers.

Hi Jeffrey, I knew that you were from Calgary but I didn't know where. We are almost one million in population now, so the place is getting a little bit crazy. We will have to get together sometime and I can show you what it's like to fly in a 14 million dollar simulator. The following photo is where I like to hang out.

Indeed we will have to, That is a very interesting place to hang out. Cant say I have even hung out in such a place. Of course I have never even flown so I am somewhat sheltered.

Jeffrey, I started hang gliding a few years ago. If you want to take some really interesting photos of this sport, you have to head up towards Cochrane on the old highway 1A (Crowchild). There will be a road on your right side called Retreat road. Its at the top of the hill just before you descend into Cochrane. Anyway, head west for a kilometer on retreat road and you will find Muller's Windsports on your left side. Vincene Muller owns the place and just let her know that you would like to photograph the guys flying. There is usually a good crowd on the weekends but sometimes you'll see guys gliding throughout the week. It's a fun place to hang out and the scenery is breath taking. Vincene lost her son Chris to a hang gliding accident last year and her husband died paragliding several years back. But the sport continues on. It is a risk sport and if you are wise about when and how you fly, you can enjoy the experience of a life time. If you want to learn hang gliding, I would highly recommend dual flight as in the photo that I have attached. Keep in mind that the instructor isn't going to let you crash because he is usually on the bottom and he will help break your fall. Ya right...

Very cool, I don't know if its a sport for me, but it is good to know. I might have to go there some time for some pictures though. Excellent information too, thank you.
