What a great shot! Can you share some of your settings? Was the carriage sitting still, and you shot with very slow shutter speed??

Hi, I am currently using a canon i960 printer for photos only. I can't print bigger than 8.5x11, but usually if I need something bigger I have a local printer do it. My favorite paper has been ilford smooth pearl, but with the dye inks in my current printer, there is a problem with fading. If you are making a print to sell to someone, I suggest getting a pigment ink system. Epson is probably the company with the most options right now, but canon will be introducing some models very soon...hope this helps..good luck

Linda, I use a Stroboframe with my SB-600. I connect it with my sc-17 cord that I had from my film camera days...I too suggest it for events..One big advantage is that it places shadows down behind your subject so they are not as harsh

I have been looking at on-line sites for showing my photos in galleries. This would be primarily for sharing with family and friends and for people that I have taken shots for to give them a chance to look at the pictures and choose which ones they may want printed or enlarged. Here is my question:
one option I am looking at provides "unlimited storage and backup storage in multiple locations (for a annual fee). I am curious about whether people are using these sites as a way to store original large files (I have a D200), or do you mostly just post smaller version of your work for people to look at. It takes a while to upload a photo shoot of original files, and I wonder if this is not a good idea.....thanks for any input..

Has anyone updated their firmware to the new 2.0? I was a little concerned about it after reading some posts on "the other Nikon Forum"....my update seemed to go smoothly and no issues so far. I did not need any of the functions that this update is supposed to provide, but some have recommended to always stay current with firmware

Great shot !! Did you do any post processing? I am asking because it looked a little "soft" in focus, and I was wondering if the D80 has some similar traits as the D200. I always have to sharpen my shots either in camera or post processing....D80 seems like a great camera...I hope I can resist the temptation
