last christmas i had to sent in my D70 for repair of the bglod, when I received my camera back it was not working, the lcd and menu will not turn on in auto and in mode settings. the lcd will come on if you take a picture but wont turn off and none of the controls work (ie histogram, delete, etc )work in these settings no matter what. I sent it back nikon said there was a faulty part in the repair they did to fix the bglod. however it still did not work, I have since sent it in 3 or 4 more times. Each time they did something and sent it back. the last time nikon said there is nothing wrong with the camera and sent me a cd back with pics of colors on it . tech support says if repair can not fix it they should replace it however repair says there is nothing wrong with it. and I still have a camera that does not work. any suggestions of a next step or has anyone had similiar experiences and if you did any suggestions on how I can get this fixed?

Hi, Sorry to hear about your problems, I'm touching wood right now because if that were to happen to me, I would not have the kind of patience you demonstrate! The only thing that comes to my mind is to get a video camera and shoot a short clip showing your problems. You could then burn the clip on CD and send it along with the camera to Nikon. Of course Nikon service must agree which I suspect they will, they have an extremely good reputation from what I've read on the web. This technique was actually used by a colleague's boss to demonstrate an intermittent problem that he was facing with his computer, and the technician was able to diagnose the problem from the clip! Good Luck and I hope this time the camera is fixed for good
